It is good to have a hobby now and then. Mine at this moment of time is photography.
My first digital SLR was a Canon Rebel and now I am shooting with a Canon 5D Mark II after a few models in between with an Olympus E-P1 Micro Four Thirds as my day-to-day-carry-around camera. The 5D Mark II is my first camera with full frame sensor instead of cropped. It has a whopping 21.1 megapixel, HD video and high ISO support among other features that I may never use or need.
For lenses by far the Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM is my favorite although it is heavy and big. The EF 180mm f/3.5L Macro USM is a great macro lens and i use it more often than i expected. The EF 85mm f/1.8 is an excellent portrait lens for the full frame 5D unless you are willing to pay for the 85mm f/1.2 L. My day-to-day lens, translates to easier to carry most of the time, is the EF 17-40mm f/4L USM. Just like many others i take my pictures in Raw format and process in Photoshop Lightroom. Rarely need Photoshop unless for some fine adjustments that cannot be done in Lightroom.
When taking enough pictures usually some will come out okay. Here are some of my lucky shots.
