Wanted but not Needed
While money certainly can’t buy everything or happiness, but it is good to have something to look forward to in life.
2016 BMW 750i xDrive (G12)
For the luxury car segment, the Mercedes-Benz has always been my favorite for all the good or bad reasons. The S550 is almost in a class by itself and it has been my "reach car" for quite some time. But, for now, my heart in on the BMW 7 Series. Here is what it would look like if I do get one:
• Carbon Black Metallic, Black Nappa Leather, Fineline Black Wood Trim
• Driver Assistance Plus I and II, Cold Weather Package, Executive Package
• M Sport Package, Anthracite Alcantara Headliner, 19" M Light alloy Double-Spoke Bi-Color wheels
• Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround Sound System, Display Key, Panoramic Sky Lounge LED Roof
Yes that would do it.
For the longest time I thought my next watch in my collection will be a dressy Patek Philippe 5196G or 5227G. After I have seen the Grand Seiko SBGA211 (Snowflake) and the SBGC201 chronograph, I am not sure.
Song α7R II
I like the Canon 5D Mark II for its full frame and the Olympic OM-D for its mobility. Although I have invested in both the EF and Micro 4/3 lenses, if I were to move up, I would probably go with the Sony a7r II. I think I am going to wait for more lenses to become avaialble before I would consider more seriously.
Hong Kong certainly is a familiar and a very special place to me. There are many great hotels in Hong Kong but the Peninsula will always stand out from the rest. So what will be in my dream and stylish Hong Kong vacation like? It will be something like a duration of two weeks, first class air transportation (not UAL please), staying at the Peninsula with a view to the Victoria Harbour, fine dining, local dining, chauffeured ground transportation, tickets to any sold out events, and non-stop shopping and eating. I think that would do it.
I drink quite diversely when it comes to wine or whisky. While I enjoy the Kavalan from Taiwan, the Hibiki from Japan, or the classic Macallan single malt, as for now I am craving the Pappy Van Winkle Family Reserve 20 Year Bourbon. If you do have a bottle and willing to share a few sip, please let me know.
